BOKUTO:

those words cause a huff to leave him, showing some clear signs of irritation at those words.  i’m not asking you to do my homework for me ! i’m saying i wanted you to help me figure it out it wasn’t far off for kuroo to assume he would want his homework done with no explanations as to how an answer was found, but examinations were approaching and bokuto wasn’t about to fail. his only real concerns were with mathematics, having no real love for that class.

he lets himself lean some more before pulling away, taking his paper with him.  show me how you solved it ! we’ll play some volleyball after, i promise

                     “Hmm- ??

This is certainly a surprise for the Nekoma captain, seeing Bokuto wanting to apply himself to mathematics. It was almost endearing, if only Kuroo felt any love for the subject he wouldn’t find this slightly annoying. Still despite not particularly enjoying it, he was still good at it, so it was only fair that he’d impart his knowledge.    Now it’s Kuroo’s turn to lean.

“Well, you know you have to figure out what X is, right- ??
So, you have to dismantle the equation, find out what this part equals, by solving these parts. Then you can subtract and divide those answers with what you have over here. The answer is what X will be.”
